Case:

The Not Placed records for students have to be created manually and this takes a lot of time.

Note: The Not Placed placement record is the placement record where Placement Field is equal to Not Placed.


Problem:

How to make this process automatic and reduce the work for the Career Services Coordinators?


Solution:

The School Settings page now has the following settings: Automatically Create "Not Placed" Placement Records and Stage in Group when the "Not Placed" Placement Records will be Created Automatically:



The Program "Name” page now has the Placement Tracking is Available setting:




If the Automatically Create "Not Placed" Placement Records setting is enabled, the Not Placed placement records will be created for students automatically after their stage is switched to the one defined in the Stage in Group when the "Not Placed" Placement Records will be Created Automatically setting in a program with the Placement Tracking is Available setting enabled.


The programs in the Program search parameter at the Placement Module: Placement Records page are now divided into two groups:

  • The first group is for the programs that have the Placement Tracking is Available setting enabled. The students are displayed both with and without the placement records.
  • The next is the Placement Tracking is Not Available subgroup with the programs with the Placement Tracking is Available setting disabled but with placement records created earlier. Only the students with the placement records are displayed:
