Case:

Sometimes the QuickBooks files contain information in curly brackets beside the student name (e.g., campus, program, group number, last four SSN digits). This information may help matching students. But this information is not used in GEGI.


Problem:

How to improve the automatic student matching using the information given in the curly brackets in the QuickBooks file? 

 

Solution:

The automatic student matching has been improved for the Payments Reconciliation, the Import Payments, and the Import Refunds reports.

If a student cannot be matched using the name and the payment information, the information from the curly brackets in the QuickBooks file is parsed and used during the matching process:



If there is no exact match even with the curly brackets information, the users will be given a list of all possible matches to select the student manually:
