There are multiple ways to update Financial Aid Plans and FA tracking forms with the data from ISIR files.
- After creating a Financial Aid Plan, if ISIRs are uploaded for a student, the user will be prompted to update the Financial Aid Plan and FA Tracking Form using the ISIRs data.
- The Financial Aid Plan can be updated on the Student "Name": Edit Financial Aid Plan by clicking the Update ISIR Data from ISIRs button in the Actions drop-down menu:
- Open the Student "Name": ISIRs page and click the Update Financial Aid Plans and FA Tracking Forms action to update the student's data individually:
- The ISIRs page allows updating the data for multiple students at once.
You can do this by selecting the required records at the ISIRs panel and click the Update Financial Aid Plans and FA Tracking Forms action at the Actions drop-down menu below the panel:
A corresponding student's FA Plan is chosen for each ISIR at the first step of updating Financial Aid Plans and FA tracking forms.
All found FA Plans are displayed at the Update Financial Aid Plans and FA Tracking Forms from ISIR panel.
Each FA Plan requires selecting the Academic Year in Financial Aid Plan that needs to be updated. After selecting, click the Next button:
At the second step, you will see the data that will be updated.
Choose the required records at the panel and click the Update button:
Note: If there is no EFC for Pell or EFC for Loan Period field in FA Plan, the field will be created automatically.
Note: The Expected Family Contribution for Pell, the Expected Family Contribution for Loan Period, the Grade Level in College, and the Degree Certificate fields are no longer updated with ISIR data starting from the award year 2024-2025.
The third step allows populating the updated FA Plans by clicking the Populate link at the Updated Financial Aid Plans panel:
Note: If a student has no draft FA Plan, the draft FA Plan is created automatically.
The data from ISIR is shown in the ISIR Transaction #, Financial Aid Status, Verification Groups, Comment Codes, Dependency Status, Expected Family Contribution for Pell, Expected Family Contribution for Loan Period fields in the ISIR Data section on the Student "Name": Financial Aid Tracking Form page and on the Student "Name": Financial Aid Plan page as well:
Note: The value for EFC for Pell an EFC for Loan Period fields on the Financial Aid Tracking Form page fetched from Financial Aid Plan.
The Financial Aid Award Year value is verified according to the Start Date as well. If the selected Award Year does not match this date, the field is highlighted in yellow:
If a student has a corresponding ISIR file, these fields can be edited by clicking the edit icon.
The values there can be filled automatically from the ISIR file or manually.
Note: If manually added values differ from the ISIR file, the cells are highlighted in yellow (except for the Financial Aid Award Year field).
