What is the Purpose of Clinical Groups?
Students take some courses at clinical sites. Usually, the students study individually or in small groups (clinical rotations) rather than as a full group. Such classes are given by different instructors at different clinical sites.
Clinical groups allow splitting a group into clinical rotations and give the instructors access to their clinical rotation only.

Linking a Clinical Group and a Didactic Group
Link clinical and didactic groups by following these steps:
- Open the Clinical Group "Name" page.
- Click the Assign/Unassign Didactic Groups button.
- On the Assign/Unassign Didactic Groups page select the didactic group that you need to link to a clinical group.
Note: You can link one clinical group to multiple didactic groups. For example, the AM and PM groups may study simultaneously and the classes at clinical sites may be taken together.
After that, similar courses in didactic and clinical groups will be linked automatically.
These courses in didactic groups become unavailable and further study in this group is continued in a clinical group: clinical rotations are created, instructors are assigned, clinical sites are selected, attendance and grades are logged, etc:
The courses can be linked or unlinked by the Link/Unlink with Clinical Group action on the Groups "Name": Education Group Details page:
Note: Clinical and didactic groups can be configured in any order. For example, if you configure a clinical group first, link it to a didactic group, and only then you configure the didactic group, the courses will be linked correctly anyway.
