Case:

Users need to know which students require access to e-Books and which students do not.


Problem:

GEGI does not provide such information and the lists have to be created manually.

 

Solution:

The Student "Name": Enrollment Agreement page now has the Opted Out of e-Books field with Yes and No options.


The field is required. When populating an Enrollment Agreement with an empty field the limitation is displayed.

Note: The permission Populate EA without Opted Out of e-Books allows ignoring this limitation.



This field value is set manually as a Yes or No option:



The Leads & Students page now allows searching by the Opted Out of e-Books field:



Email Notifications


An email with the subject List of Opted Out Students, containing a list of active students with Yes selected in the Opted Out of e-Books field, is sent each Monday at 8:00 AM by default.

Note: Email frequency and preferred notification time can be set at My Notifications panel on the My Settings page.



The student list is attached to the email as a CSV file. The students that were added after the last email have been sent are marked as New in the Comment column:



Sending emails may be disabled or switched to the new students only at the Send List of Students Who Opted Out of e-Books setting at the School Settings page. The default value is Only with New Students:



Course Settings


Added the Course Short Name as in Moodle field to the Edit Course page. The field allows defining the course name that is used in Module. The course name is generated automatically and can be edited manually if needed:
