What Are New Email Leads?
An API for receiving leads requests is available in GEGI. The API helps to collect requests from the leads that are interested in the study. The request can be received from the school's website or other pages that are a part of the advertising campaign. The collected requests are automatically sent to GEGI.
This means that New Email Leads are all the potential students that sent an entrance request. When the request is created it is automatically added to GEGI as New Email Leads. The requests need to be processed and the student profiles should be created to contact the leads.
Note: Contact the Support if you have questions about the API.
Data Sources
The New Email Leads data is received from third party services. A student fills in the registration form and states which educational program the student is interested in, which campus is preferred (or online education), and adds contact details.
How to Find New Email Leads in GEGI?
New Email Leads are displayed in the Leads & Students - New Email Leads tab. The tab shows the information that the student provided when creating the request: preferred campus and program, name, email address, and the source the student learned about the school from.
There are filters that help to find a particular New Email Lead by the creation date, by the name, by the selected program.
There are filters that show the New Email Leads that are flagged as spam, are duplicates, or that have been already added to GEGI:
Notifications About New Email Leads
The New Email Leads notifications are shown under the menu:
Additionally, the number of the currently unprocessed New Email Leads is displayed in an orange circle beside the Leads & Students menu item:
How to Work With New Email Leads?
First, review the information in the request when you start working with New Email Leads. Use the View item in the Actions drop-down menu:
If the request is received from a new student, click the Add button to create a profile for the lead in GEGI.
The first step is finding the duplicates. If the information from the request does not match any existing GEGI profiles, proceed to step two. If there is a match, you should make sure that the existing GEGI profile is created exactly for that person. If the profile is a duplicate, that New Email Lead should be flagged as duplicate and you continue working with the existing profile. If you are sure that the student is a new one, proceed to the next step:
Step two requires filling in the student profile and adding it to the system:
After that, the New Email Lead status is changed to Added automatically and the student profile becomes available in GEGI:
If the request looks like a spam message or is a duplicate, you can change the status to Spam or Duplicate. This can be done using the Switch Status to Spam or the Switch Status to Duplicate menu item in the Actions drop-down menu below the table on the New Email Leads page. You can select multiple New Email Leads and change their status in bulk:
Note: If you changed the status by mistake, you can revert it using the Switch Status to New item in the Actions drop-down menu below the New Email Leads panel.
