Locations: 

  • Financial Students → Student "Name": Financial Aid Plan
  • Admin Charges & Payments → Payments: Edit Payment


Users with the following permissions: 

  • Financial → Edit
  • Admin → Financial → Manage Payments

 

Case:

Some estimated payments need to be added to students without defining the award year.


Problem:

The Award Year field is required in the Financial Aid Plan for estimated payments. The Financial Aid Plan cannot be populated without this field’s value.

 

Solution:

Added the Award Year is Not Required option to the Payments settings. It allows leaving Award Year empty when adding a payment to the Financial Aid Plan:



With this option enabled, the required field validation for the Award Year field is not active when populating the student’s Financial Aid Plan:
