Poverty Guidelines are used to define student’s eligibility for Pell.

Poverty Guidelines are provided for each calendar year in three tables: one for 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, one for Hawaii, and one for Alaska. The tables contain poverty thresholds by the number of persons in the family/household as well as values corresponding to the different percentages of the initial threshold.

Poverty Guidelines can be configured on the Financial Aid → Settings → Poverty Guidelines page:

This page shows the sets of Poverty Guidelines data created for each calendar year.

The sets of data are provided yearly by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and are updated automatically when a new set of data is released.
