  • Education   Grading  → View Grades (all)
  • Education   Grading  → View Grades (own)
  • Education   Grading  → View Grade Components (all)
  • Education   Grading  → View Grade Components (own)
  • Education   Attendance → View Students Attendance (all)
  • Education   Attendance → View Students Attendance (own courses)


Case:

All students in a group are listed in tables to add their grades and attendance.


Problem:

This list also shows students who are not required to attend a course. This may mislead an instructor and lead to errors.


Solution:

The Grading: View or Record Grades and the Group Attendance pages were redesigned. The Show Students field now has two values: All and Attendance/Grading is Required:



When Attendance/Grading is Required is selected, only the students who require grades and attendance are displayed:



Selecting All will display all students including those who transferred to the current group and completed the course in the previous group:



Students from the Attendance/Grading is Not Required section will have a tooltip explanation of why grading and attendance are not required for them:
