Users with the following permissions : 

  • Administrators
  • Email Categories: Edit in Admin

 

Case:

Students are able to unsubscribe from the mandatory emails. Students should not be able to do so.

 

Problem:

How prevent students from unsubscribing from mandatory emails categories?

 

Solution:

The ability to mark Emails Categories as Allow Unsubscribe was added to their settings. Students are not allowed to unsubscribe from emails categories without such mark.

Do the following to configure emails categories:

  1. Open Admin Emails Categories page:

  2. Click on the Edit icon.
  3. Disable the Allow Unsubscribe setting in the appeared Edit Email Category pop-up panel:

     

  4. Click on the Save button.


Following emails categories are configured without Allow Unsubscribe mark by default:

  • Appointment/Reminder
  • Balance Due Reminder
  • Billing
  • Emails about Upcoming Expected Return Date
  • Financial
  • Requests
