Case:

It is impossible to understand whether a student is not working in the specialty or is not working at all when Not Placed or Placed Out of Field is selected for the Placement Field field in a placement record.


Problem:

Allow the placement record show if a student is not working in the specialty or not working at all.

 

Solution:

In the Placement Field field, the Not Placed or Placed Out of Field option is now divided into the Not Placed and the Placed Out of Field options:



When Not Placed is selected only the Program field remains required.


The existing placement records with Not Placed or Placed Out of Field were changed in the following way:

  • The Placement Field value is changed to Not Placed if
    • the Employer’s Company is not defined or is in the list of non-existent (“Unemployed”, “N/A”) and
    • the following fields are empty: Supervisor's Name, Supervisor's Phone, Date Employed, Graduate's Job Title, Verification Date, Licence or Certification Date.
  • The Placement Field value is changed to Placed Out of Field if the Graduate's Job Title equals to one of the following: "Sales Associate", "Security Guard", "Waitress", "Music Teacher", "Sales Associate", "Office Supervisor", "Administrative Assistant", "Case Manager", "Purchasing Director", "Receptionist", "Supplement Distributor", "Business Owner".
  • In all other cases the Placement Field value is renamed to OUTDATED: Not Placed or Placed Out of Field and such placement records should be reviewed and corrected manually.
