Student Events


GEGI allows creating different events for student appointments, calls, etc.


There are two types of events:

  • Appointment — a meeting with a student. It can be of several types: Phone, Meeting, Information, SLE, Enrollment, and Other. A student will be notified of each created event by email, and the event will be displayed in the staff member calendar and in the Comments panel on the student’s Details page. 
  • Reminder — a reminder about any upcoming task (email a student, phone, etc.). It is not shown to a student, only displayed in the staff member calendar.


Events can be created on any student’s profile tab in the Actions panel and in the Calendar menu. When the event starts, the user gets notified in the notifications bar under the main menu. 


Employee Events


Employee Events — employee events not related to students. Staff members can add such events to organize and plan different activities, and set them as recurring events. 


Calendar


Calendar — the page displaying all events (Calendar menu tabView Calendar menu item). You can set up the displayed interval for the calendar (e.g. Day, Week, Month, Current), select users whose events are displayed, and choose the types of the displayed event.

Note: Click any free time cell in the calendar to open the event creation dialog for this time. 


Agenda


Agenda — the page displaying user events in a special order. First, come the events that have already started and require processing, then come all other events sorted chronologically.
