GEGI Student Management System (version 2026.01)


Accounting: 

  • AR Card: Resolved the "Transaction is unlinked from the source" issue. Modifying a charge amount or date after a student transfer now results in 2 "AR Card" records: original in the old group and updated in the new group. Users decide whether to keep both or delete one of them. 


Education:

  • Attendance Check-In: Added the automatic attendance calculation based on check-in, check-out, and break times.
  • Attendance Check-In: Added the "Check-Ins Report" with detailed check-in/check-out data, including time tracking and error descriptions for failed attempts.
  • Course Rosters & Attendance: Students in the ENROLLING/ENROLLED stage are now excluded from "Grading is Required" course rosters, "Attendance is Required" group attendance lists, "Attention Required" course flags, and related instructor email notifications, while remaining visible in the "Attendance is Not Required" section when "Show Students" = "All."


Financial Aid:

  • FA Batches: Added the validation preventing FA approval when disbursements already have AR Card transactions.
  • FA Batches: Disabled adding $0 disbursements to batches.
  • FA Plan: Added the automatic population of all calculated components when creating FA plans without a group template.
  • FA Plan: Added the automatic creation of draft FA plans based on configurable triggers including EA signing, stage change to ENROLLED, or EA population.


Leads & Students: 

  • Ethnicities: Added the ability to match "Ethnicities" required for the IPEDS reports with the school’s current ethnicities.


Placement:

  • Placement Records: Added the "Employer Refused to Provide Information" checkbox that hides the supervisor field when employer information is unavailable. Made the "Supervisor Email" field mandatory.

Student Folders:

  • E-Sign: The process for preparing e-sign templates has changed. Signature locations and other data blocks can now be customized using a user-friendly web interface.


We continuously work on bug fixes and performance improvements. The information about such fixes and improvements is usually not included in the release notes.
