GEGI Student Management System (version 2026.05)


Version 2026.05 is currently in development and is planned to be completed by 05/28/2026. This table of contents will have further additions and the final version will be published on 05/28/2026.


Enrollment: 

  • Transfer Credit Courses: Updated the Transfer Credit Courses List: added "Institution", "Transfer Number", "Transfer Title", "Program", "Number", and "Title" columns. Added a required "Group" dropdown to the "Add Transfer Credit Course" form; selecting an institution and course now autopopulates the credit-granted course.


Financial Aid:

  • FA Plan: Enhanced the Pell calculation — when no ISIR exists for the award year, GEGI uses the closest preceding ISIR for the calculation.
  • FA Plan: Updated the "Remaining Need" calculation to an academic year basis and added a new "Exclude from Remaining Need Calculation" payment setting to control which payment types are counted in the total.
  • FA Plan Notifications: Updated the "Non-Cleared FA Status" notification: academic years with the FA status set to "Cash" or with an empty FA status and no awards are excluded from the student count and the FA Tracking Report filter.
  • Originate & Disburse: Improved the automatic record processing to preserve COD-confirmed statuses and fixed the incorrectly updated records.


Reporting System: 

  • BPPE Annual Reports: The "Graduate Identification Data" report now includes only California students and excludes programs with the "No Credit Work/CEU/Short Course" degree level. Removed the "InstitutionName" and "InstitutionCode" columns from the CSV export. 


Student Folders:

  • E-Sign Packages: Added new columns to the default preset on the "Student Folders: E-Sign Packages" page: Cohort/Group (E-Sign Package), Stage of Pipeline in Group (E-Sign Package), Main Stage of Pipeline, and Program (E-Sign Package). The corresponding filters are now available in "Search & Order", allowing to find packages by group, pipeline stage, or program. Packages without an assigned group display "No Data" in the new columns.
